Going With The Flow

I am learning. A new lifestyle. Of turning any event, even painfully negative ones, into some source of joy. And of sharing this skill with anyone open to the idea. It has proven to be a wonderful mechanism for me.

  1. Instead of focusing on what can go wrong...all. the. time., I focus on the lessons and positive elements and use that to gain an advantage on items at hand.

  2. If I am not getting joy in the work I do, I will choose to create it. Every project connects me to people, or a new skill, or creative expression, so it is a win-win situation!

  3. I take breaks when I feel obstructed or stuck in any project. Just a minute or two away from the proverbial drawing board is enough. A breathe of fresh air, a cup of my favorite tea, or just a walk outdoors is ample to recharge and replenish. And then, the solutions just start showing up.

There is always an art piece that is waiting to be created, a walk in nature, a beautiful medley of songs, a new friend to make or something else that pulls me away from creative blocks. It all begins with a choice. So drop the "rights" and "wrongs" and other ego issues, to look at everything with the eyes of a kid, and to simply let go of all... in the flow!

How do you manage to stay in the creative zone? Would love to hear about it!
